“This was a combined family vacation where both families were new to the Outer Banks. We absolutely loved it here and all agreed we would definitely come back. Our stay at the Leeward Inn was the perfect spot. Easy walk to the beach and plenty of beach supplies. The pool was a great chill spot after hitting the beach and we loved the hot tub. From our youngest family member (Kensington, 2 ½) to all the adults we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We can’t wait to return!”
“This is our third year staying at the Leeward Inn. We all love the set-up of the house with rooms downstairs & living upstairs, makes it easy in the morning when some like to sleep in. The water this year was kinda crazy! A few days the temp of the water 61⁰ and others it was 75⁰. My eldest son Eli brought a friend’s surfboard this year and he caught his first wave (woohoo!). We had a blast doing putt-putt golf and also going to the local skateboard park. We found our new breakfast place, Stack’em High (I recommend the one at mile marker 16). So many great memories we are making here, thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home! BTW, the new floors turned out beautifully! God Bless!”
“My family and I had such a great time staying here at the Leeward Inn. The house was beautiful and all the rooms had everything you could need already there. I loved the outdoor furniture, especially the hammock chair on the middle deck, the corner table on the upper deck and the screened in porch was a great place to enjoy breakfast in the morning. I loved how the house was secluded in the treetops, very peaceful. The short walk to the beach was nice and the beach was great. The water was cold – low 60’s, but that didn’t stop me and my cousin from getting out on our boards. The pool was amazing, not too warm or too cold. All the pool floats there were helpful the pool toys were a lot of fun. Overall this house & vacation were great. I always love coming to the Outer Banks & one day I plan to move here. - Maya (age 16)”
“We had an awesome week at the Leeward Inn. We loved Duck Donuts. Our highlight of the week was either Dolphin watching (Manteo) or parasailing (also in Manteo). The beach was fabulous! We also enjoyed our pool. We highly recommend going to the beach in the evening, the waves aren’t as strong and there’s less people. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home.”
“We always love coming to the OBX, it’s our favorite vacation! This year since the kids were old enough we went down to the beach for a nightly swim and walk. To wrap up our time up, there was a pro surf boarding contest at the Jeanette Pier about 15 miles south of here. My highlight was the massive thunder & lightning storm that I watched as I sat in the screened porch. What a blessing from the Lord!”

“Thank you for a wonderful week at the Leeward Inn! We absolutely loved the house, the location, the decor and the pool! The house has a cozy feel, is very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved eating out on the covered porch and listening to the birds and nature! We took advantage of the large DVD collection and played a couple of board games with the kiddos. We were pleasantly surprised with the pool floats/noodles that were already at the house for our use. The pool side bathroom is quite possibly the best idea ever, lol! The house has everything you could possibly think of and has the best stocked kitchen of any house we have stayed in. 🙂 We loved staying here and look forward to coming back in the future. “We had a wonderful time at the Leeward Inn! The house was perfect for our young children and we really loved having booster seats, beach chairs, pool toys & kitchen equipment. My mom loved all the candles too and we had several conversations about the beach ball in the picture over the fireplace…why is it there lol! Thank you for a wonderful vacation.”
“A big thank you for opening your home. We all enjoyed our stay. When we weren’t at the beach boogie boarding, the kids turned into fish and remained in the pool. While here one day the waves were super rough and brought in tons of seaweed – in it we found a sea horse! That was amazing… This vacation is always our favorite. We look forward to it every year. This is our first year in this home… We booked it for next year and it can’t come soon enough! Appreciate the outdoor shower and bathroom.“

“Our first trip to the Outer Banks was last summer and we stayed on Clam Shell Ct with a lot of extended family. Loving this area, but not needing as large of a house this year, we came across your home and were excited to be in the same neighborhood again. And your house did not disappoint! We really appreciated the TVs and DVD players in all the bedrooms, as well as the lovely furnishings in all the rooms. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed… The kids loved the wide assortment of movies and pool toys, and our youngest enjoyed the toys in the back bedroom. The privacy with all the trees made us feel secluded, yet it was just a short walk to the beach. We also bought our bikes and enjoyed riding through the beautiful neighborhood of Chicahauk. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful place with us. We hope to come back next year!”

“We decided on a last minute vacation to the Outer Banks, and were pleased to find your home available through the internet. Upon arrival we were excited that the property exceeded our expectations… Exploring the Outer Banks was a lot of fun. The beach was clean and not too far a walk… The sunrises were beautiful and we spotted dolphins on several occasions… There was so much to do here, but no matter what we did during the day, we all looked forward to returning “home” to swim and relax in the hot tub. What a great view of the stars from the top deck! The wooded lot is so private –WOW! Thanks for sharing your home.”

We enjoyed the privacy of your house, secluded in the trees, yet close enough to walk to the beach (the beach cart really came in handy). The house had everything we needed.
